2005

Erich Livengood writes: "Like most alums, Susan and I have been very busy. Kate, our first, was born in 2008, and Sam joined us in October. Upon emigrating to New Zealand in 2007, I consulted on energy and environmental issues and supported climate change negotiations. At the end of last year, I took a corporate role with NZX, the New Zealand stock exchange, as head of energy, strategy and special projects. We love catching up with alums who pass through, so do look us up when you visit."

Mark Maybee updates: "I don't know that I ever put an announcement in for our first son, but we had a second little guy in May. Trevor Chase was born on May 23. Keaton is enjoying being a big brother. I'm still with Danaher, living in snowy Connecticut. I'm running a business unit in the environmental platform. We are enjoying being parents and looking forward to spring!"

Igor Vynarchuk, wife Yana and son Vlad moved to Wisconsin in February 2010 after Igor was hired by S.C. Johnson (after four and half years with McKinsey and Company) as a director of global lean transformation.

Chris Dobbyn and wife Beth welcomed daughter Ava Jane on Nov. 6 at 6 pounds, 5 ounces and 21 inches long.

Jed White writes, "About three years ago I joined a little medical device startup in Madison, Wis., which happens to be a great place to live. We bought a house, welcomed daughter Azelle (1), and in February, we sold the company to a bigger player in the space. Throughout the process, Kellogg education and contacts were really helpful. Hope to see more of you moving north towards the Super Bowl champions!"

Cooper Marcus, Angela Laffan and their son Myles (2) welcomed Remington Marcus on easy-to-remember 10-20-2010. Remi is growing like a weed, packing on the pounds, and already starting to wrestle with his big brother. The Marcus family spent the first three weeks of January visiting Angela's family, near Melbourne, Australia. The Marcus-Laffan family is also welcoming Cooper's newest startup, Wishery, tools for incredible e-mail customer support. Cooper would love to hear from Kellogg alums who are interested in providing fantastic e-mail support.

Cedric Cornelis relocated to Singapore with Sophie and the three boys to take on a global pricing role with DHL Express. Cedric had joined the logistics company in 2008 in their Brussels European headquarters, after three years with Bain & Company.

Ed Kalletta and wife Kim welcomed our twins Brady and Kaitlynn into the world on Jan. 7.

Andreas Pecher writes: "The family is doing well and we are enjoying the winter in Munich, Germany, with all four kids skiing. Last October, I made the move from consulting back to industry and am leading the business development department for REC, the world's leading integrated solar company (revenue around $2 billion). I am splitting my time between Munich and the company headquarters in Oslo, Norway. "

Olivia Clara Schleman was born to Danit (Lewin) Schleman and Joshua Schleman at 7:12 a.m. on Jan. 10. Olivia weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 18 inches at birth — but she's been growing quickly!

Shawn Olds writes: "I was just in Delhi and had the chance to catch up with Darpan Kalra and Pankaj Sahni who are both doing extremely well. We all knew Christian Walters at school so we opted for a photo in front of Harley-Davidson, as Christian is now the MD of Harley-Davidson Japan."

Christina Wu and Martin Bunzendahl welcomed Markus Wu Bunzendahl into their family on Jan. 22.

Jason Miller writes, "First and most exciting, we welcomed our daughter Annabelle into the world Nov. 17, 2009. Clearly, we think she is amazing and we've loved every second of parenthood. She's now walking (running) around and learning new words. We thought we heard her say 'incentivize' recently but we weren't sure, it could have been 'dada.' Second and most recently, I accepted a job with the Obama Administration, working on economic policy in the White House as part of the National Economic Council. While we were sad to leave the Bay Area, we are enjoying D.C. and all it has to offer, especially the pandas and orangutans at the National Zoo."

Michael Clark and Anna Whiting are the proud parents of Ella Bethanie Clark, born Jan. 25 in Kingston Hospital. Ella was three weeks early but weighed in at a healthy 6 pounds and 3 ounces. She's settling in to life in Kew and making sure that her Mummy and Daddy are kept very busy at all hours of day and night.

Katy Pinter and Jason Pinter '09 welcomed Molly Elizabeth Pinter to the family on Dec. 21. She joins big brother Benjamin (3). The Pinter Family lives in Chicago where Katy works as a senior consultant with The Chartis Group and Jason is vice president of finance at IfbyPhone.
