1997

Ricky Delgado and his wife had their first child on Jan. 30. His name is Ricardo Kim Delgado. They are both elated and will try to bring him to our 15-year reunion in 2012. Ricky's wife, Victoria Kim, graduated in 2004 from the University of Chicago so they both have a connection with the Windy City. Ricky is still based in Manila, but travels frequently around Asia.

Despite a monumental battle in her constituency of Brighton Pavilion on the South coast of the U.K., Charlotte Vere was unsuccessful in her first attempt to win a seat as a Member of Parliament. She has however continued her career in politics and is now working on NO to AV (no2av.org), the campaign to secure a No vote in the U.K.'s first national referendum for 36 years. The U.K. electorate is being offered the opportunity to replace the current voting system with the alternative vote (called instant runoff voting in the U.S.) and Charlotte is campaigning against the change. Polling day is May 5, so please wish her and her colleagues lots of luck!

Candance Parks Chow and her daughters, Chloe (8) and Sydney (5), were able to spend some quality girl time with friend Archana (Mehra) Taraporavala and her daughters, Laila (2) and Yasmine (1), in the Hamptons late last summer. She writes, "It is always great to have a few days to reconnect and catch up where we left off."

Michelle (Cesped) Vidano and her husband Chuck welcomed a new baby boy, Carson Cesped Vidano, into their family on Sept. 5. Carson, his older brother Maxton, mom and dad are all doing great!

Jennifer Podhajsky is still at The Hershey Company. As of the beginning of this year, she was promoted to vice president and general manager of U.S. chocolate. After spending the last five years heading up the Hershey franchise, she says it is exciting to branch out to other iconic brands ranging from Reese's to Hershey's Kisses to Kit Kat to Payday. Her family is doing great. Jennifer's husband, Matt, is a manager within Hershey's operations group and their kids are growing quickly. Jake is 7 and Alexandra is 5. If anyone is in the Hershey area, please let her know at jpodhajsky@hersheys.com.

Dave Meyrowitz has been back in New York since 2003. For about three years, he has been with Credit Suisse, where he heads up business development for the U.S. private banking business. They have a few other Kellogg people in the private banking division at Credit Suisse including Pete Skoglund '68 who heads up the U.S. business, Gerry McGinley '92 and Bob Sierens '99. He seems to see a bunch of Kellogg people from all different years. He ran into Keith Lender at a CS event at the end of the year and Dan Seligson works next door to his office. Dave and his daughter Haley (10) met up with Flinn Flexer's '98 family and Dave Mayer and his wife on Cape Cod this summer. Flinn was in from L.A. for a wedding and Dave was with his wife down from Boston for a few days of R&R. Through various alumni events, Dave has become friends with Marisa Joelson '02 and Matt Bushell '01. Matt just moved out to San Francisco and Marisa is in London. Dave sees her on her frequent trips to New York. He is also planning ski trip with Bryan Crino if he can break away. Bryan is president of Skyway Capital and is still enjoying the sunshine down in Tampa. Dave says, "Life is pretty busy here but I always enjoy seeing fellow alums in New York." He is also looking forward to heading up to Stowe, Vermont, for a week of East Coast skiing with his daughter.

Scott Morrow has several important and fun events to share from the last year. Scott proposed to his girlfriend, Kimberly Armendariz, in St. Lucia (on top of the Petite Piton). The fact the mountain caught on fire during the proposal and they had to do an emergency evacuation was not part of the plan. Scott and his fiancée continued the excitement by taking a five-week pre-wedding trip through Europe and Africa. The highlights included riding mopeds down the Amalfi Coast and a tented safari in Zimbabwe. Scott and Kimberly married in Los Angeles and Matt Daniel was in attendance. On the professional front, Scott joined Oversee's executive team in Los Angeles, where he is responsible for operations across the travel, consumer finance and retail verticals.
