Since my last Class Notes transmission, I've joined the ranks of people in transition. I'd like to give a shout out to everyone that is in the same situation. Many things take a turn for the better as the economy improves. I'm looking forward to my next opportunity as a corporate accounting manager in the Chicago area. I perform the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions that enable CFOs to deal with venture capitalists and shareholders.

Liz Ebert's oldest son Kevin was accepted early decision to Northwestern, so she's very excited about that. She also moved from IBM to the advisory organization at KPMG at the beginning of the year, and she's thrilled to have completed that move. She specializes in IT and business strategy for consumer products and retail organizations.

Mary Mickelson writes from Minneapolis that she's working on a project in Delta's IT department, where she interacts with folks throughout the company and is starting to grasp how BIG the world's biggest airline really is. To keep on top of it all, she carries two Blackberry phones and a laptop — especially during frequent trips to Atlanta.

Steve Yastrow is working on his third book, Ditch the Pitch, which should be published later this year. His first book, Brand Harmony, was published in 2003, and the second, We: The Ideal Customer Relationship, was released in 2008. Steve's website is yastrow.com.

Barbara Rosenthal joined Acquity Corporation in Chicago as a senior digital strategist.

Andy Birol moved to Pittsburgh from Ohio but he continues to help business owners focus on their best and highest use to create profitable and sustainable growth.

Tod Windsor moved to Sheridan, Wy. He signed a franchise contract with Jimmy John's and opened his store this spring.
