I received an e-mail from Dave Chen who is doing some teaching at Kellogg. His class focuses on impact investing and the application of financial innovation to address social and environmental challenges. Dave comments: "The students are asking how they can have a greater impact on their world. They realize that there is more to it than money. One result of the class was the creation of a seven-school collaboration around impact investing. It's very exciting."
Andy Beran writes in from Scottsdale, Ariz.: "After selling our first business, we acquired a new business, Quality Transport Services of Arizona, a non-emergency medical transport company. I'm quickly learning the ins and outs of medical insurance, transportation logistics and scheduling optimizations. I knew those operations classes would come in handy some day. I've also been spending a lot of time traveling. I'm just back from Brazil and Argentina, and had a short trip to Israel with AIPAC."
