Dr. Jerry Juska is a digital professor at the University of Illinois. In January, he began teaching a new online course, Advertising and Informatics, which he developed for the College of Media. Jerry, who lives in Winter Park, Fla., uses an Internet delivery platform to conduct his weekly live classes. Students can login to the system from any location, even on their mobile phones, and watch the lecture or actively participate in the discussions. The focus of the class is the transformation of the advertising industry by digital technology, as well as the anticipation of future methods for advanced marketing communication.
