Black Management Alumni Club
Black Management Alumni Club

Quite a bit has transpired within the organization since the last Town Hall meeting at the 19th BMA Conference. Perhaps the biggest change has taken place in the leadership ranks. Our ascension to the roles of co-chairs has come after three spectacular years under the leadership of Cindy Carey '02 and Donnell Knighten '99. The two did a great job pushing the organization forward and establishing our presence in the alumni community, culminating in the organization being recognized as the Kellogg School's "Special Interest Club of the Year" by the alumni office. This is an amazing time to be a part of this organization, and we look forward to continuing the momentum and taking the organization to even greater heights.

In the months to come, you will be informed about our major initiatives for 2007: strengthening the current alumni network and continuing to develop ways to connect more alumni, building a nationwide imprint and enhancing our presence on the Kellogg School's campus.

While these goals are ambitious, we feel that each is vital to the progression of our organization. Beginning with a renewed membership drive, we hope to increase the number of alums listed in our club-specific online directory, which will allow us to extend our reach both professionally and socially. Second, we are looking to further strengthen our presence across key markets, allowing us to mobilize representation for various engagements. Finally, developing relationships with the current membership of the Black Management Association and the Offices of Admissions and Alumni Relations will help us impact the Kellogg School's future.

We have high expectations for this organization, but we cannot realize them on our own. It will take a unified effort from the entire organization and its membership to reach our goals, and we are reaching out to you for your commitment. We need leaders, planners, contributors, attendees and, most importantly, supporters.
