2002
— Part-Time
Thanks
again for your continued support and for bailing out my procrastinating
butt with lots of great information. As you will see from
the info below, TMP 2002 is doing very well. I encourage everyone
to make an effort to stop by the Kellogg Reunion weekend in
May to catch up face-to-face with your classmates.
Wayne
Brown writes that he left CNA in September to go to Abbott
Labs, where he is the finance manager for the pharmaceutical
products group's IT division: "It's a big change from
insurance, but I'm having a blast."
Tom
Nguyen is currently with Deutsche Bank after starting
his banking career with Merrill in Chicago. Tom has been asked
to move to London to run the U.S. product into Europe and
will depart for the two-year assignment in June.
Tony
Pricco and his wife, Colleen, were blessed with three
beautiful children (yes, triplets) on Oct. 2. Their names
are Vincent, Dominic and Evelyn. The family is doing great
and Tony continues in his position as vice president of McShane
Corp. in Rosemont, Ill.
Kat
Schad reports: "I married my best friend, Eric Reuther,
in May. Lots of Kellogg folks were at the wedding, including
two (Jeff Huening and my sister Laura Schad '04) who
were in the wedding party. I also left JPMorgan/Bank One and
am now a vice president in LaSalle's National Institutional
Real Estate Group in Chicago, banking REITs and other real-estate
related entities."
Brian
Finch and wife Lori welcomed their first child, Anna Rose,
on Nov. 29. Brian works for JPMorgan Chase and recently relocated
to San Diego.
Michelle
(Joyce) Huber and Bill Huber welcomed daughter
Sarah Joyce Huber on April 24 — the second anniversary
of their wedding! They are still living in Elmhurst. Bill
continues to work for McMaster-Carr Supply Co. After Sarah
was born, Michelle chose to leave her position with ARAMARK
and focus on being a mom for now. She cherishes the time she
gets to spend with her daughter.
Tom
Clark is the director of merchandise planning for Victoria's
Secret stores and lives in Columbus. Tom and wife Julie welcomed
their third little one into the world: Aidan Finn Clarke,
born Feb. 5.
Brian
Contat and wife Stacie live in White Lake, Mich., with
their two sons Andrew (2) and Branden (6 months). Brian continues
as the Chrysler customer manager for Eaton Corp. (the automotive
group). Despite the tough automotive market, Brian enjoys
the unique challenges of this industry.
Cindy
Axne is living in West Des Moines, Iowa, with her husband,
two sons and two dogs. She works for the state of Iowa and
is the director of organizational development and training.
She writes that "life continues to be quite hectic with
two boys (5 and 2) and a job that is fulfilling but demanding."
Nishea
Clark continues as managing principal of her marketing
and strategy consulting business, NVC Consulting LLC. Nishea
and her husband have finally moved into the house they have
been renovating for the past year, located just outside of
Manhattan.
James
Gruber relocated with Abbott Labs to Sydney, Australia,
in May to take a position as region controller for Australia
and New Zealand and says all Kellogg visitors are welcome.
Sumeet
Kapoor continues in his high-intensity position with Diamond
management and technology consultants, but is also busy preparing
for both a trip to India and the fast approaching local cricket
season, where he hopes to lead his team to a championship!
After
many years with GE, Steve Puffpaff took a position
with Fuchs Lubricants Co. in Harvey, Ill. Steve was recently
appointed Fuchs's senior division manager for the central
states.
Joe
Montalbano is process coordinator of aromatics technology
center engineering, services and equipment for UOP LLC in
Des Plaines, Ill. He enjoys his job but is happiest to report
his 18th anniversary with his significant other, Jerry! Congrats
to them!
Chris
Clark and family continue to make their home in Glenview,
Ill. Chris just recently left a job of many years in the aviation
industry to join James Hardie Building Products (Chicago)
as product and market manager.
Grace
Chang reports that
she is "relocating back to Chicago for personal reasons,
but will continue to work for Intuit remotely as senior manager
of finance and supporting the company's procurement and order
management organizations. Life with Intuit has been great.
For anyone looking to relocate to the Bay Area, I highly recommend
Intuit as an employer of choice. They are progressive, value
diversity and individuality, promote a very strong teamwork
culture and — very important for me, coming from several
'churn and burn' environments — they are dedicated to
promoting great work/life balance. We are No. 33 this year
in the top 100 Great Places to Work and have been on this
list for the last six consecutive years."
Congratulations
are in order for Jason Seiden, who has recently joined
the esteemed ranks of published Kellogg alumni authors. His
book, How to Self-Destruct: Making the Least of What's
Left of Your Career is available at Amazon.com and other
major booksellers, so please show your support to Jason and
buy a copy!
Sanjay
Nair reports: "I still work at United (as a managing
director) and love what I am doing. I'm traveling quite extensively
on business. However, I'm getting some fun time in with the
family as well. My wife, Rachana, son Arjun and I went on
a Caribbean cruise in January. All had a great time. Looking
forward to the class Reunion coming up later in the year."
Julie
(Docken) Ali married husband Lamar Alex Oct. 7. Julie
continues as vice president of brokerage operations for Northern
Trust Securities Inc. here in Chicago. Congrats to Julie and
Lamar!
Colleen
Hynes Braun and Paul
Braun are proud to
announce the arrival of son Jack William, born Dec. 24. Mom,
dad and baby are all doing well!
After
13 years with TAP Pharmaceutical and Abbott Labs, Joseph
Medel began a new career as a managing consultant with
the biotech consulting firm bioStrategies Group in August.
Joseph actually claims to be enjoying the consulting life
almost as much as he enjoys spending time with his son Jack
(2) and catching up with friends from Kellogg, so please give
him a shout.
That's
all the updates for now. Please stay in touch.
