Since graduation, Fikret Durmus has worked in investment banking at Dresdner Kleinwort, Bank of America Securities, Madison Capital and now JPMorgan's investment banking group in Chicago. "My wife, Nora, and I and our son Fikret Aron (2) welcomed our new baby daughter/sister, Nora Mary Hatice Durmus, on Nov. 8. She weighed 5 pounds and measured 18 inches. Nora and I are extremely blessed and are enjoying the daily adventures of two beautiful children. So far, Fikret Aron has taken a liking to the White Sox, Bears and Bulls. We'll have to wait and see if his baby sister Nora favors the Cubs over the Sox. Best wishes to all for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year in 2007!"

Denise Kenny is looking forward to the upcoming Reunion. "I live a couple miles from Northwestern's Evanston campus. I hope to host cocktails that weekend at my house in Wilmette for the Class of '97!"

Garrick Nielsen and his wife, Maureen, had their fourth child Nov. 18 at Northwestern Hospital. Margaret Maryann (Maggie) weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces at birth. "We now have Elaine (7), Ricky (Garrick Jr., 5), Charlie (3) and Maggie. I was promoted to senior vice president in March 2006 at American Chartered Bank. I specialize in business lending and banking serving small- to mid-sized companies."

Kim Anderson and her husband, Tom, had their third child, Spencer Thomas Anderson, on Feb. 7. "He is definitely the caboose. Nothing really new to report other than the stay- at-home-mom/professional volunteer status is way more demanding than the corporate world. I'm hoping to re-enter corporate America someday to get a break!"

John Reid has moved on from Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, Inc. "I am now the director of IT strategy and planning at Express Scripts Inc. in St. Louis. After 10 years of being on the road, I decided it was time to dedicate more time to the upbringing of my kids and fatherhood. I left Diamond in August, and the past few months have been absolutely wonderful. The home life is definitely what it is cracked up to be. Our twin girls, Sydney and Courtney (5), will be in kindergarten this September. I can't fathom how the time has flown. Further, our son Peyton will be 2 in April. I don't even remember him turning 1 last year! Time is flying as we get older, but days with the family and kids are as special as I could ever have imagined. My wife and I continue to celebrate the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. We have erected a shrine in our basement to all of the memories of an incredibly average regular season, but a remarkably exciting and unexpected World Series Championship. We're not sure if a repeat is in the cards, or not. No pun intended. I look forward to hearing from others in our class. Ten years ago. It really doesn't seem that long, does it? Amazing."

Allan Caspar has left the corporate world of FedEx Kinko's to perform independent consulting for a former colleague. Tammy, Dana, Logan, Lane and Allan will continue to reside in Sherman, Ill.

Lisa Gelsomino Hennessy married on Sept. 12, 1998. While our class was still in school, she moved to Manhattan in 1996. She lived in Manhattan for five years on the Upper West Side and came back to her hometown of Chicago in August 2001. She and her husband, Mike, had their first child, Aidan Michael Hennessy, in October and she recently finished her maternity leave. She writes: "I now reside in Bartlett, Ill. with the rest of my family — Mike, Aidan and our beloved dog Star (we took her in while in New York City)."

Wendy (Hooper) Hallmark left consulting last year and accepted a job with Chevron as manager of organizational development in IT global talent management. "It's a mouthful of a title, but a lot of fun and a fast-paced entrance into the oil and gas industry. My husband is an IT project manager with Chevron, so we're clearly committed to the company! I'd love to get in touch with other Houston Kellogg alums."

Rebecca '02 and I have recently and rapidly expanded our family, taking in two long-term foster kids, Caden (3) and Melody (1). They join our son Jackie (1). Needless to say, things like sleep, pleasure reading and leisurely dining have become far more elusive. But we are enjoying new worlds of rolling around on the floor, climbing into and out of tents and making lots of raspberry sounds.
