Sorry this update is so short. I had massive computer problems and lost most of my data for the past 10 years. Here is what I think I remember.

Lauren Baker took an old man to Las Vegas for his 50th birthday. Old man Charlie Baker was able to bring a walker from work and parlay that into front-row seats at most of the shows. Lori Winters Samuels was a surprise guest for the birthday dinner that included Charlie's brother from the class of 1989. Charlie and Lauren had such a good time at the reunion that they would like to have one every year. I think we have found our next committee chairmen.

Michelle Saddler was named vice president for international adoptions by Lifelink, a Chicago-based charitable organization that works closely with Housing and Urban Development and provides vital services including home care, foster care, Head Start and family assistance to underserved communities.

Janet Sedlock Wallace is very happy to report that she has completed the adoption process and her new daughter's name is Kyra Rose Wallace (Kellogg Class of 2030 or so). Kyra was born on Sept. 12 and the adoption became official on Nov. 27. Janet attended the birth and reports that the sleep deprivation is a bit of a challenge in the mid-40s and that the prospect of Kyra going to college when the Wallace parents are 65 is pretty scary, but it is all good. Instead of sending baby gifts, please send Starbucks gift cards.

One nameless member of the class enjoys sending me pictures of parties they have attended and that I was not invited to. I am so happy that you have a wonderful life and can go to the best restaurants. Please send me a doggie bag sometime. Speaking of dogs, Cindi Bigelow has a new puppy named Oreo. It was supposed to be half-Yorkie and half- poodle (a yorkie-poo) but instead the puppy was half Yorkie and half Shih-tzu (have to be careful spelling that one). In any case, the family loves the puppy.

Ada Koch sent me a wonderful holiday letter, which I read and then lost. Her children are winning awards for Irish dancing, violin playing, French speaking and Corvair repair. Some of that might be right. Mary '85 and Mark Schwartz traveled to every state except Wisconsin. Mark did not break any bones this year. Ron Leaf is sending his baby daughter off to college and it might be in Wisconsin. But I would not count on it.

I went skiing with Kevin Damon and his family last December. I hate it when the kids turn 4 and start skiing past me. My only news is that I have a new e-mail address and it is now high-speed. You can e-mail me at tlbrach1000@sbcglobal.net. I am very sorry I lost some great e-mails in the transition. I'll try to do better next time.
