Eisenstaedt writes:
"In September, I joined RSM McGladrey Inc. as the chief
operating officer of its upper Midwest region, which is based
in Minneapolis. RSMM is, by most measures, the country's fifth-largest
accounting, tax and business-consulting firm. In my new position,
I am responsible for finance, HR, IT, marketing and facilities,
and I play a key role in strategic planning. There are five
offices and nearly 500 employees in the region. I joined RSMM
after retiring from SC Johnson & Son Inc. in Racine, Wis.,
with more than 20 years of service. My wife, Elizabeth, and
our two standard poodles will be relocating to the Twin Cities
just as soon as our home in Racine sells (which I hope is
soon)."
Mike
Goefft writes: "My daughter Hanna is 11 and my son
Lucas is 8. Cindy is a designer and recently remodeled our
house. I've been in the advertising business since Kellogg,
first with Proctor & Gamble, and then with a bunch of
different ad agencies, large and small, domestic and abroad.
I'm working in San Francisco with Publicis & Hal Riney
as a senior vice president. We are living the dream in San
Anselmo, Calif."
Nob
Makino reunited with other Kellogg alums in September
at the Kansai Northwestern Alumni reception in Osaka, Japan.
Bill
Hughes writes: "After retiring from the U.S. Navy
in 2000, I joined BAE Systems, an international defense contractor
with 38,000 U.S.-based employees, as the director of internal
communications at its U.S. headquarters in Rockville, Md.
Kathy teaches school nearby at Holton-Arms in Bethesda. My
oldest son, Ryan, who used to tear around the campus on his
mini-wheel, recently returned from a nine-month tour in Kuwait
as a lieutenant in a port security unit. Andres, born on a
snowy March night in Evanston Hospital, is a lawyer in New
York City with Debevoise Plimpton."
Anne
Littlefield writes: "For the past 28 years, I have
been working in commercial investment real estate, doing acquisitions,
sales, lending, development and redevelopment, as well as
management of office, industrial, retail, multi-family and
hotel properties. I worked eight years in Prudential's Midwest
real estate investment department before moving to Maine in
1986 — first in UNUM Life's investment real estate for
13 years, then at Dead River Properties for the last eight
years. I am the general manager of the petroleum company's
investment team. Originally from Maine, my family is all here
now. I adopt rescue greyhounds and play bridge when I am not
working."
Mike
Rossmeier writes: "I am the vice president of the
middle market banking division at Chase Bank. I started full
time in Evanston with the Class of '77, but as a summer intern,
received a full-time offer from American National Bank (now
Chase), and finished the second year at night school in 1978.
Doug
Stevenson writes: "My business partner, Gregg Fraley,
and I are 'The Innovise Guys,' one of the top-rated podcasts
on innovation and creativity on the Web. As consultants for
new product innovation, change management and creating cultures
of innovation in organizations and business cultures, we can
be seen presenting workshops this spring at conferences in
Austin, Dublin, Sestri Levante (Italy) and Phoenix."
Doug
also writes: "Patricia Lanktree and husband Ed
Curry are moving to Kansas City after living eight years in
the Heart of Dixie — Huntsville, Ala. Tricia is using
her marketing skills from her years at Nestlé and Xerox in
her new role as an executive recruiter for middle and upper
middle management. Their son Daniel is a junior at Northwestern.
Daughter Abigail is an entering freshman at Northwestern.
Oldest son Michael graduates Cornell in 2007. Youngest son
Patrick will start ninth grade in Kansas City."
Dominique
Mathieu writes: "I
recently made two changes for the better: First, I joined
a consulting firm which shares the same passion to make a
real difference in the operations of its clients. The Highland
Group is made up of senior people (read: grey/no hair!), whose
diverse experiences and sharing of the same values are keys
to our success. Secondly, I returned to the United States
from Canada with my family to settle —hopefully for
good this time — in Duxbury, Mass., where Nancy's roots
actually date back to the original settlers in 1637! We all
love it here, for the proximity to the ocean and the intellectual
stimuli. I am in contact with the Boston Kellogg Alumni Club.
My travel schedule has not allowed me to get in touch with
fellow local alumni yet; working on it."
Steve
Strawsburg writes: "I am the vice president of the
public issues division at Reynolds American Inc., the holding
company for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco, Conwood Tobacco and Santa
Fe Natural Tobacco Company. I have worked at R. J. Reynolds
since graduation in 1978 and continue to live in Winston-Salem,
N.C. My role is to support our corporate social responsibility
efforts, including youth tobacco prevention and community
support. I also serve as president of the R.J. Reynolds Foundation,
which conducts a number of employee- and community-directed
giving endeavors."
Our
30th Reunion will be in 2008. Kellogg has yet to decide on
exact dates, but expect Reunion '08 to be in May. More later! |
