TMP 1997

Phil Joseph recently was promoted to first vice president, assistant treasurer of ProLogis. Phil will relocate to Amsterdam, and will be responsible for coordinating ProLogis’ debt capital market strategy in Europe. His wife Colleen and son Quinn will make the move with him.

Charlie Lee reports that he moved to Orange County in the fall of 2002 and is working for Experian North America: “I haven’t been able to enjoy the nice weather much as I’ve been living and working in Nottingham, England, on a project with our sister company in the U.K. I’m scheduled to return to the United States in the spring, and although I’ll miss all of the wonderful travels, I’ll be glad to be home and see my dogs! Go Cubs! Cheers!”

Deborah Kuo left her senior manager position with Deloitte & Touche (providing commercial and corporate real estate consulting services) in 2002 and joined the corporate world as Exelon’s portfolio and program manager for corporate real estate. “Concurrent with this, my husband Steve and I began our adoption journey,” she says, “and we returned home from Kazakhstan in November with our two children, Andrew and Joelle ─ ‘virtual’ twins who turned 1 in December and January, respectively. We live in Western Springs, and for R&R, I teach group fitness at Lifetime Fitness in Burr Ridge. Stop by and say ‘hi’ if you’re a fellow Kellogg fitness aficionado!”

Lisa Christian Mount took a new role at her company last fall. She is now director of investor relations at RR Donnelley in Chicago.

After six years in New York, Benjamin Nummy happily accepted a transfer back to Chicago to run the commercial real estate lending office for Morgan Stanley. Benjamin writes, “In January, Joanna and I bought a house in Winnetka, where we are starting to get settled in with our three boys, Andrew, 6, Will, 3, and Brian, 8 months.”

Lynne Haywood and her husband had a daughter, Anna Grace, on St. Patrick’s Day 2003. “She is quite a healthy (big) and happy girl. At 10 months, she crawled up the stairs and uttered ‘birds’ while looking out the front windows,” Lynne says. She reports she is still enjoying her job at Advocate Health Centers. The family moved to a house in Chicago in February 2003.

John Coyle has left the traveling world of consulting and taken a job as director of marketing at U.S. Cellular. “My family and I made the big decision to move back to the Midwest and return to our roots (and family). The new job is exciting, and has the ‘can’t be overrated’ benefit of being home almost every night. My daughter has now turned 3, and we’re thinking about another one now that I’m home all the time...”

Roger Shubert and Elaine Virant, both TMP '97, and their son Garrison

TMP supercouple Roger Shubert and Elaine Virant had their second child, Garrison Virant Shubert, on Dec. 2. “Everyone is doing well,” the couple says. “We certainly had a happy and exhausting holiday season, and big sister Anita is taking good care of her new baby brother!” Roger and Elaine also celebrated their 10th anniversary last fall. On the work front, Roger is fast approaching four years with Closerlook as a health-care account manager, and Elaine is with Siebel Systems as a practice manager.
