Guangfu “Percy” Cui joined Kinko’s as general manager for China after 12 1/2 years at Proctor & Gamble. Percy and his family are living in Beijing.

Mike Wiklund was promoted to manager of order fulfillment, United States and Canadian Ag Markets, for John Deere. Mike and his family have relocated to the Quad Cities (Moline, Ill., area), and are in the process of building their new home.

Rana Altenburg was listed in the 2004 Milwaukee Business Journal’s Leadership Roll Call in two categories: “Up-and-Comer Moving Milwaukee Forward” and “Most Likely to Break the Glass Ceiling.”

Steve Conley, along with Steve Sullins EMP-51, traveled to Andros in the Bahamas in November 2003, where they did their first shark dive. There were about 18 Caribbean reef sharks up to 8 feet long. Steve and Steve swam with them for about 20 minutes, getting as close as 2 feet!

Jeanine Niyonzima recently became the business development manager for Emerson Network Power. Her territory covers 14 states on the West Coast, including Alaska and Hawaii. She is in the process of relocating her home to somewhere between Arizona and California.

Oded Barak recently joined Amdocs with the company’s Clarify CRM subsidiary as a strategic accounts manager.

Tim Allen was promoted to CFO at Bulk Molding Compounds Inc. following graduation in June.

Mark Thomas took on a new role at Pulte Home Corp. as the Texas area president. He and his family relocated to Dallas.

Several international vacations over the holidays: Angela Duffy traveled to her homeland of Ireland; Rafael Aquique visited his family in Venezuela. Kevin Burke rang in the New Year in Paris.

Matt Harbaugh moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to become the CFO of Monsanto Argentina, and will also be heading up the operations group there. He welcomes all EMP-54 visitors!

Two marathoners: Kevin Burke ran the New York Marathon in November, with a time of 4:28. Mark Thomas ran the Chicago Marathon in October, with a time of 4:12.

Sanjay Chowbey is the proud father of daughter No. 3, Shilpa, born in December. Sanjay was promoted to senior director of operations (responsible for three plant locations) in a Japanese JV supplying to Toyota and Nissan.

Bob Layne’s start-up business, The Visibility Co., is growing quickly, with an expanded client base in many U.S. and Canadian cities, and most recently, in Eastern Europe and Russia. Bob’s company helps large and small firms outsource their marketing, public relations and corporate communications functions.

George Baus was promoted to director of company strategy for Appleton Ideas.

Jeff Sommers recently accepted a position as president of Source Food Technology, a company that develops and markets innovative, nutritionally advanced ingredients for the food service industry. The company is based in the Research Triangle Park in Durham, N.C., and its major proprietary product is Nextra, a revolutionary cooking oil that contains zero cholesterol and no trans fats from hydrogenation.

In October, Steve Perry became the senior director of commercial manufacturing for ImClone Systems. He currently runs a biopharmaceutical plant, and enjoys the faster pace of a manufacturing operation.

Brad “Doc” Frank, along with two partners, recently launched EastWest Network, a multilevel marketing company that develops, manufactures, and distributes nutritional supplements and skin care products. Check it out at www.eastwestnetwork.com. Also, Brad’s college-aged son, majoring in international business, has been offered a position working at Kinko’s in China under the able direction of Guangfu “Percy” Cui.

Patrick Davenport is the proud father of a baby boy, Edward “Ned” Kane Davenport. Wife Joanny gave birth to Ned on Jan. 16, who weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
