EMP-30

Juan J. Rocha wrote to say he is now working for WMH Tool Group in Elgin, Ill., as the company’s vice president for its international division. He recently received a letter of appreciation from United Airlines thanking him for his business and stating that he is now among the top 3 percent of their 1K members. “It sounded more like a letter of sympathy,” Juan says.

Juan reports that his family, Tami and the kids, are doing great: “We are starting the process to look for a college for my daughter Carolina, and I have high hopes she chooses NU. Also, we are joining the renovation craze and plan to add a few rooms to the house. It seems the architect is having quite a bit of ‘fun’ meeting the very stringent approval process in my city.”

Leslye Sandberg says: “Don’t know that I have any real news ─ just thought I’d say ‘hi!’ I did move Permatron to a bigger space in February of last year. We’re now in Elk Grove Village instead of Franklin Park.”

Marty Wilkinson writes: “About the only thing new I can report is that last year I was appointed general manager of John Deere Davenport Works. Here we design and build the world’s finest wheel loaders, log skidders and motorgraders. Employment is growing, as we have hired more than 100 people in the last four months.”
