Dispute Resolution Research Center
Collaboration, Conflict & Negotiation at Kellogg
The Dispute Resolution Research Center (DRRC) is the premier institution for research and teaching on conflict and collaboration. Grounded in Kellogg's rich culture, the center fosters interdisciplinary dialogue that bridges research with real-world applications. We pioneered the team-based, experiential learning method, establishing ourselves as the global authority in negotiation education. As a dynamic hub, we aim to guide faculty to become exceptional instructors, empower students to become adept problem solvers, and push the boundaries of innovative research.
The DRRC was founded in the spring of 1986 by Northwestern University faculty in the schools of law, management, and arts and sciences. As a research center under the Kellogg School of Management, the DRRC is managed by an executive director appointed by the Kellogg dean and is guided by an advisory committee that reviews DRRC activities and consults on research, executive and continuing education, and development.
Northwestern University faculty and PhD students are welcome to participate in DRRC activities, and faculty at other Chicago-area universities may participate in our activities as affiliates.
DRRC Postdoctoral Fellowship
DRRC is home to a longstanding fellowship position that allows postdoctoral researchers to conduct original research with Kellogg faculty members. The 2024 application cycle is now closed. We will open 2025 applications in the fall.
