Professor Janice Eberly confirmed as Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy

John L. and Helen Kellogg Professor of Finance Janice Eberly has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Department of the Treasury’s Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy. In this role, Eberly will lead the Office of Economic Policy under Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, advising him on a wide variety of macro and microeconomic issues. The office she will oversee is responsible for analyzing and reporting on current and prospective economic developments in the U.S. and world economies and assisting in the determination of appropriate economic policies.
