Making the most out of two years
It is hard to imagine that more than one year ago, I was finalizing my Kellogg application for the Round 1 deadline. So much has happened since then – I quit my job, moved out of my tiny NYC studio, spent a month traveling throughout Europe, made 24 amazing new friends on KWEST, and am now in my second quarter at Kellogg.
Looking back, I know what an incredibly stressful process applying to business schools can be. But it was also a rewarding process. For the first time in a long time, I thought long and hard about my interests and what I wanted to make out of these next two years. At the end of the application process is the chance to not only redefine your career goals at a great business school, but to have a lot of fun along the way.
Twelve hours into my KWEST Panama trip, I realized that “sleeping is cheating” at business school, but in a good way! You quickly realize that sleep deprivation becomes normal at the expense of an intense week of section competitions during CIM (proud Big Dog here – winners of CIM 2011!), dinners with new friends, exploring clubs and careers and nights out at the Keg. It was an incredible start to what I know will be a life-changing two years.
