The Kellogg School of Management is proud to offer the Advanced Private Equity Experience, a groundbreaking, global advanced academic program for One- and Two-Year MBA students.
APEX offers a unique, interdisciplinary approach that combines rigorous academic coursework with practical industry mentorship, programming and negotiating skills. The experience provides students with the knowledge and networks essential for growth in this highly competitive field.
A select number of students are invited to participate in APEX based on their relevant prior experience and proven interest in and commitment to the industry after graduation. Key components of the APEX program include one-on-one industry mentorship from senior private equity alumni; a tailored, accelerated curriculum including an advanced deep dive course; academic mentorship from faculty; and a diverse cohort of exceptional and supportive peers.
Kellogg is also excited to welcome Erik Brown ’06 MBA as the new senior director of private equity. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the investment field, Brown brings a wealth of experience and a fresh vision to the program.
Sixteen teams from eight business schools gathered at the Global Hub last May for the 2024 Kellogg Design Challenge, the world’s largest MBA design case competition. This year’s event focused on designing AI productivity solutions for improving collaboration, effectiveness and knowledge sharing in product design and development. This year’s design challenge also introduced the Award for Excellence in Equity-Centered Design.

The Impact & Sustainable Finance Faculty Consortium at Kellogg connects educators from more than 220 universities to share and learn from one another. Discussing the dynamics of carbon and the natural capital markets, greenwashing among asset managers and unintended consequences of climate regulation were some of this year’s topics.
