Mr. Treiber goes to Washington: Our very own Eric Treiber was invited to the Capitol by House Speaker John Boehner to take part in his “Job Creators” initiative aimed at shedding light on the struggles American businesses are encountering in the face of mounting regulatory burdens. While in Washington, Eric was interviewed by Chicago radio, TV and newspapers, and took part in a face-to-face meeting with the House Republican Leadership (including Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and Deputy Whip Peter Roskam), along with the 12 other business leaders invited as job creators. Eric was also a guest in Speaker Boehner’s visitor’s box for a joint session of Congress to hear President Obama lay out his American Jobs Act.

Eric was invited to attend this event one week after Congressman Peter Roskam (Illinois 6th District, House Deputy Whip) visited Chicago White Metal to see first hand how burdensome regulations were affecting his company. CWM is located in Roskam’s district, and the Congressman has visited there several times over the years.
