We have a 15-Year class reunion coming up in April, would one of our (preferably Chicago-based) classmates like to help host our activities? HELP! Can you believe we have been given 15 more years to enjoy life post EMP? It will be excellent to see all who can attend April 27-29, 2012! Nevin’s! Allen Center! Dinner and/or picnic with EMP-36 classmates and families!

We also wanted to share this recent update from Mark T. Nelson: “Bridget and I are really experiencing the empty nest. The kids have left the country! Our son Peter, a Carleton College computer science graduate, has been teaching English in China for the last year and daughter Katy is in Greece for the fall semester. Luckily, Chris Linn’s son has moved here to Marshfield, Wis. We’ve had the good fortune to meet this fine young man and even see Chris and Marybeth when they come to visit.

“My business, Microscopy Innovations LLC, had a good response at this summer’s national meeting for microscopists. We’ve also had good response from angel investors interested in the life science tools space. A couple of major pharmas are interested in our system for specimen preparation.”
