Susan (Beaman) Fitzpatrick of Chicago is happily married to John and indicates that these last 26 years have been quite an adventure! She writes: “We relocated with our four children to Zurich, Switzerland, and later to London, England. After 13 years abroad, we relocated back to Chicago. While in Zurich, I completed doctoral research with the World Health Organization and was awarded a DBA by a joint programme between the University of South Australia Graduate School of International Business and the Swiss Business School. While in London, I held the post of deputy director for the Centre for Health Management at Imperial College London and managed World Bank and WHO grants all over the world. Recently, I decided to fill back up the creative well and changed gears, completing a master’s from Imperial College in creative writing. Now back in Chicago, we are empty nesters after taking our youngest to college this fall.”

Michael Doyle of Saigon, Vietnam, writes, “I have lived and worked in Vietnam for the past 20 years. I own a premium food, beverage and wine import business that covers Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, with five offices and more than 100 staff. I also have completed two more degrees: master’s in international accounting from Swinburne in Australia and a master’s in intelligence studies (terrorism) at the American Military University. I am currently a graduate student at Selwyn College, University of Cambridge, reading international relations. I plan to continue at Cambridge or Oxford for my PhD. Best news is that I have a family: wife Lien and twins Ryan and Sarah born in January.”

Catherine Duda of Charlotte, N.C., writes: “After being a corporate gypsy most of my adult life, I find it hard to believe John and I have been in Charlotte for 16 years now and are preparing to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. And I guess 25 years since our MMs! Wow! I continued to work in telecommunications until 2000 and have been ‘retired’ since then. These past years have been filled with family, golf, travel, friends, house renovations (several houses in fact) and just generally enjoying life. We have one daughter-in-law and perhaps one on the horizon. No grandkids yet, but always hoping! We travel the U.S. frequently with John and Annie in Boulder, Colo., and Matt in Los Angeles. We have a group from the telecom industry that we get together with once a year in fabulous places. Chicago needs to be on the list! And we are very fortunate to have a beach house in South Carolina that hosts friends and family as often as possible.”
