accepted a COO position with 44Doors.com, a mobile marketing technology company with over 1,600 customers including Coca-Cola, Reebok, the Green Bay Packers, Bank of America, Travelocity, ADP, Fidelity and Kendall Jackson.

Jennifer Kwon works in private equity at The Gores Group. She and fiance Gregory Chou ’08 are both enjoying the sunshine, playing tennis and living by the beach in Los Angeles.

Eric Epstein ’08 and Becky Ingis welcomed their baby boy Daniel Jason Epstein on Aug. 5. Judging by the healthy set of lungs on him, Danny might very well have a future in the Rocket Pockets and Special K! like his parents.
Billy Leonard and family have moved back to Atlanta where Billy was born and raised. They are enjoying reconnecting with old friends and making many new ones!

Julie Gordon is working in Paris until March with LEK and spending time hanging out with fellow Cash Cows Lionel Charmetant and Hiromi Shibayama.

Samir Gokhale is excited to announce that he accepted an offer in marketing at Dell in Austin, Texas, where he currently resides. He writes: “I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my career. I also got married in June and became a first-time home owner, so lots of great life events happening!”

Esther Choy’s Leadership Story Lab has been blessed by recent staff expansion and new institutional client acquisition. Among her new staff is fellow Kellogg classmate Reena Shah. And Esther has been able to work with clients that include BP, Brookfield Investment Management and Girl Scouts. Her new workbook, Winning Storytelling for MBA Applicants, is due out in November and available on Amazon.com.

Josh Smith moved to New York City and switched positions within Deloitte to work full-time in an internal growth and innovation group.

Mike Fitz and wife Ashley welcomed their first child on July 11. His name is Colin Robert Fitz and he is doing great.
On Sept. 3, Mazy Jacoby and Adam Rhuberg were married in Carmel Valley, Calif. The wedding party included officiant Cullen Malley and bridesmaids Betsy Storey and Lauren Bogner. Classmate attendance was strong: Matthew Wallerstein, Bill Getty, Jeff Peterson, Cory Freedland, Jenny Fong, Andrew Choquette, Chris Welch, Bill Ford, Megan Fox, Fritz Buerger, Kate Davis, Jen Levy Atkinson, Romina D’Andrea, Chris Petersen, Adriana Mayorga Mason, Rob Mason, Jane Gasparian, Trent Lee, Megan Heidelberg and Ben Mathes ’08.

On Sept. 24, Kari Wilson married Joe Clark in Virginia Beach, Va. Despite the rainy weather, classmates Sean Alpert, Ryan Mullin, Alan Huang, Shahid Hussein, Audrey Liu, Pam Ramali, Aziz Gilani, Kelsey Peterson ‘10, and Kelly Winters ‘08 all joined her for an awesome weekend of eating crab omelets, roasts from relatives and dancing to eclectic 70’s house music. Congrats Kari!

This year, Takeo Kamada was named director of Japan, China and Korea Tourism Corporative Organization (jcktco.org). Together with its Chinese president, he is trying to make full use of the power of tourism to connect people and industries among China, Korea and Japan. One of Takeo’s lessons learned is that understanding local cultures and hidden motivations behind people’s behaviors must come first and then the business relationships.

Sarah and Steve Emmert welcomed their daughter, Eleanor (Ellie) Victoria Emmert on May 9. In addition, Steve has taken a new job with Boeing in their biofuels group (making biofuels work for airplanes) and the family has moved back to Seattle. Sarah is still working with BCG, but in a new internal role for the travel and tourism practice that allows her to stay home more. Overall, things are going really well for the Emmerts!

Brad Keyworth and wife Kimberly are proud to announce the birth of daughter Avery Catherine Keyworth on June 15.

Sarina Krailas married classmate Robert Sherwin in June on Cape Cod, with many Kellogg classmates in attendance.
Andy and Shira Schwarz welcomed daughter Nava Rachel on Aug. 26 in Chicago. Baby Nava was 7 pounds, 8 ounces and is doing great! Shira is enjoying her maternity leave, but is excited to be heading back to PepsiCo after Thanksgiving.

Linda Yu and Justin Kerr were married on July 16 at The Palmer House in Chicago. The couple first met at Kellogg during their first year of business school and has been inseparable since. After the wedding, the couple went on their honeymoon in the French Polynesia islands of Bora Bora and Moorea! 

Alex Barth and his wife Jen became the proud parents of a healthy baby boy, Wyatt Ewing Barth, on July 22. The following month they moved back to their hometown of Seattle, where Alex took a senior marketing manager position at Amazon, working on the Kindle team. 

Taryn Tirrell and husband Sean are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Catherine Rose Tirrell. She was born on June 17 and weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Everyone is doing great!

On a beautiful summer day in Sonoma, Calif., Melanie Eckenroth and Bobby Amezaga tied the knot! When they met during DAK II in 2007, who would’ve thought they’d be exchanging vows just a few short years later? They were joined by many friends and family, and with their Kellogg crew in the house, they enjoyed an epic celebration!
