Jessica Kim, founder of BabbaCo, won first prize in COMPETE Contest at Chicago’s TechWeek Conference. Jessica earned $100,000 in cash and services for her new product line idea of the BabbaBox — where parents subscribe to receive a box of activities each month, geared to their three-to-five-year-olds.

This summer, Myron Quon was appointed the chief executive officer of National Asian Pacific American Families Against Substance Abuse. Myron looks forward to the challenges involved in advocacy related to preventing substance abuse, including problem gambling, as well as working on the intricacies of integrated health care under the Affordable Care Act. In addition, Myron is an adjunct faculty member for the University of California, Berkeley D.C.’s Lawyering in the Nation’s Capital program, working with law students on their externships at government agencies and nonprofit organizations.

Gorka Sarasa is happy to announce that he married Barbara in July in Madrid, Spain.
