2000 — Part-Time
Jimmy Li ’00 at Lake Geneva | |
Greetings TMP Class of 2000! Thanks once again for doing such a great job sending in updates and keeping our class in touch! Any updates regarding gatherings with other alumni, job changes, marriages, births, trips etc. are always appreciated!
If you enjoy reading the updates and don’t receive a reminder about submitting Class Notes, perhaps you need to set up your alumni e-mail forwarding address. To do this, go to alumni.kellogg.northwestern.edu and update your profile to set this up. On with the updates!
Al Kamienski spent the summer as a visiting professor in the School of International Trade at the Anhui University of Finance and Economics in Bengbu, Anhui, China. Al taught two sections of macroeconomics, one consisting of 35 graduate students and the other with 40 professors. Given the adoptive Chinese name Li Yung Jun, Al was able to participate in the annual Dragon Boat Festival as well as witness the on-campus celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party in China. The experience was an amazing exposition of a mainland Chinese culture and economy at a crossroads of its rich history and ascendant future. Al can be reached at al.kamienski@gmail.com.
Jimmy Li is the director of global inventory at Amkor Technology, an international semiconductor manufacturer. This May, he was able to hike across Grand Canyon twice (south to north and to south again) in 22 hours. In his job, Jimmy travels around the globe, although he is based in the greater Phoenix area. Jimmy can be reached at jimmyliaz@hotmail.com.
Andrew Young deployed to Kosovo with the U.S. Army. He is serving in the NATO KFOR (Kosovo Force) Finance Office at Camp Film City in Prishtina, Kosovo. This office handles all of NATO’s local expenses and contracts. Though he misses his family very much, Andrew enjoys the experience, working with people from more than 30 different countries and a kalaidescope of languages. Andrew can be reached at ayoung2112@yahoo.com.
Keep in touch everyone!
