Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM) honored Andy Mills with the Distinguished Executive Award for 2011 for his exceptional leadership and his contributions to the community. Andy accepted the award and delivered the commencement address to LFGSM’s MBA Class of 2011 and 2,000 guests during a ceremony held in the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom in Chicago.
Greg Williamson says, “Hello.” He is vice president, chief investment officer and director, trust investments at BP America. His daughter Abby is completing her senior year at Northwestern and majoring in theater and psychology.
John Chester and wife Laurie run a small art company called Wild Apple Graphics. They L-O-V-E living in Vermont. They are almost empty nesters with their two boys out of the house but their three dogs keep them company. Check out the company website at wildapple.com.
After spending 17 years in the asset management business, Wiwan Tharahirunchote joined Kasikorn Research Center Co. Ltd. in Thailand as the chairperson in January 2010. She occasionally meets our dean, former deans and professors through the Kellogg Alumni Council Asia. She just had her fifth book on personal finance published. The book is in Thai but its English title translation is Money Pro: Managing Your Money.
Paula (Hays) Rhea is still in field marketing for internet security firm Trend Micro out of their Texas office. She travels quite a bit managing regional tradeshows and C-level events. Paula is also the incoming president of Dallas Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae where she enjoys events with the SMU chapter. Her daughter is a freshman at University of Oklahoma and her son is a freshman in high school. She and her husband Randall (still with Oracle) are enjoying OU football games and thinking of traveling to the 2012 Olympics in London. Paula is open to connecting via LinkedIn if classmates want to connect.
After two decades sunning in Florida, Ed Smith and wife Joyce took a bite out of the Big Apple, but soon saw the light and moved to the Windy City this past June, where they are now enjoying highrise living downtown in Lakeshore East. Ed made a career change from a private foreign-owned corporation to a publicly traded domestic company with a 120-year history in Chicago. Ed and Joyce L-O-V-E Chicago.
Leslie Goldberg is still working for Advantage Healthcare Inc. as a healthcare consultant. This is her sister’s company and they’ve been working together for over 10 years without killing each other. Her oldest son is a senior at Colgate University, and will be attending George Washington University Medical School next fall. Her daughter is a sophomore at NYU, playing varsity volleyball for the school and majoring in sports management. She will hopefully attend Kellogg sometime in her future. Her youngest son is a freshman in high school, so a few years reprieve before the third is in college. Her husband is still working in his general dentistry practice fighting tooth decay. They have lived in Franklin Lakes, N.J., for the past 22 years (This is the home of some of the Real Housewives of New Jersey! Y-I-K-E-S!).
