Jan Nikus with family (spouse Raquel and daughter Elena) moved to Barcelona and are enjoying the tapas there. Jan got promoted at Bayer and is now head of invoice to cash, Europe, with the scope of providing accounts-receivable services to more than 50 Bayer companies in 12 countries.
Alex Vega married Ana Maria Gonzalez on Oct. 10 in Miami.
Many EMP-75 alums attended the wedding of Pardeep Sanddhu. Attendees included Bert Hucks, Didier Choukroun, Jenny G. Molina, Aron Leibowich, Sofia Saracho Oyarzabal, Alex Vega and Carlton Barclay.
Bert Hucks has successfully established the “First Tuesday Lunch,” where everyone from EMP-75 that happens to be in Miami gets together the first Tuesday of every month to catch up. In addition, Bert joined ABB Concise as its chief information officer. ABB Concise is a national distributor of optical products, a third-party logistics provider and the largest distributor of contact lenses. Bert will be leading information technology and a thrust into new products and services.
Jenny Molina has left for Milano and while she is exploring cuisine, she is producing and marketing Melonchello. Kellogg alumni with experience in the spirits and drinks industry can reach her directly at jmolina@agrolibano.hn.
Brian Otte continues to be fully committed to the EMP-75 class-gift fund. In September, he attended the Association of Financial Technology in Napa, Calif., where he invited Professor Harry Kraemer to be a speaker. Brian comments, “Kraemer did an exceptional job …. The proceeds collected will be donated to the EMP-75 fund.”
Gloria Guevara was featured in the Sept. 30 Wall Street Journal article, “From Kellogg to Mexico’s Tourism Secretary.” Gloria credited Kellogg for providing her with a better understanding of global business, negotiation skills, leadership techniques and project management.
In late September, the “Sopranos” (David Bigler, Jose Luis de La Vega and Pablo de Brito) had a mini-reunion in Miami. Unfortunately, Azulito Jenkins (Blue) couldn’t make it.
Pablo Rodriguez-Herrera ran in the New York Marathon on Nov. 7.
Juan Martinez continues living in Miami and had lunch with Jenny Molina on her way to Milano.
