EMP-68
Lots of exciting changes and accomplishments for EMP-68 — a wedding, new positions and relocations to new cities … and a lieutenant governor candidate!
Linda Halvorson took a new position as IT director of strategy, sourcing and services for Abbott Vascular. Linda and Robbie relocated to sunny Santa Clara, Calif.
Mary Kathryn Anders (Molly) and Willard Edwin Riley II exchanged marriage vows on Aug. 14 in Fayetteville, Ark. surrounded by family and friends. They live in Bangor, Maine.
Dan Monahan joined the team at Motion Computing as vice president of U.S. sales. Dan, Carrie and their three kids moved to Austin in August.
Ashley Goldsmith relocated to the San Francisco Bay area to take a new role as human resources SVP for Polycom.
Mariano Gonzalez became a board member of the Merit School of Music in Chicago. Merit is a nonprofit organization founded in 1979 that provides high-quality music education to Chicago children of all ages and all levels of musical ability.
Gary Jackson took a new role at Google as global business head for the Americas (Gary will still be based in Atlanta). The position focuses on sales strategy for large global clients.
In June, Ben Arndt became the South Dakota Democratic Party’s nominee for lieutenant governor, after being selected as a running mate by the gubernatorial candidate, State Sen. Scott Heidepriem. Ben’s been “fairly busy” as he continues to serve as COO for Bell Incorporated, spend time with his wife and kids (Fletcher, 5 and Finley, 2), and cover the campaign trail in a 77,000-square-mile state that also includes nine Native American reservations. Ben has been positioned as the “political-outsider businessperson” who can use his experience (thanks Kellogg!) to fix the state’s budget crisis, reduce the size of state government and create more jobs.
