EMP-38
Apparently, it’s been a quiet summer. Just a few tidbits came my way.
My best giggle came courtesy of Steve Croskrey. Steve retired a few years ago (except for his sojourn into minor league ice hockey). He comments, “Shaved two days in a row for the first time in five years!” While still spending about half his time in Idaho and Washington, hunting, fishing, hiking, rafting, camping etc., Steve has taken on a fitness-equipment refurbishing business called Venture Fitness. Sounds like he may have roped his wife Janet into the ring this time.
Clyde Rundle still reports being a big NU football fan: “I am still in the staffing biz. We have changed our name to capture more of the market rather than just the industrial stuff. My oldest daughter just presented us with a new grandson. That makes two now!”
Scott Etzler reports that Intercall purchased a streaming company and a unified meeting consulting company to continue the push into the unified communication/managed services space.
Now the EVP and CFO for Erie Indemnity Co., Marcia Dall reported via e-mail: “Everything is going well. My oldest son (20) is at Emory College in Atlanta and my youngest son is a junior at Cathedral Prep in Erie. I’m playing a lot of local competitive women’s doubles and mixed doubles tennis!”
Larry Brand reported that he had nothing to report. But even a quick note to say “hi” is appreciated.
Mike O’Dell wanted to update his contact information. For the last few years, I’ve been using some e-mail functionality available to class reps but it requires you to keep your Kellogg information updated. The alumni site is: alumni.kellogg.northwestern.edu.
In the absence of other news, I, Trish Lambrecht, will share some biking adventures with you. During this year’s MS 150, storms forced some of us to hide under a house in DeKalb County. The winds got to be so strong that I had to get off my bike before I got blown over. The Mike’s Bikes team found shelter in a local school after being picked up by a SAG wagon. Continuing on with a wind theme, on a ride later in the summer I biked with some friends out to Cornfest in Sycamore, Ill. Two of us decided it would be fun to take a ride on a biplane. That’s not Amelia Earhart. That’s me.
