Kellogg/Recanati-10

Let me start out by saying that this is the first update on KR-10 alumni to appear in Kellogg World. I was busy preparing for my marriage to Ari Varon in September, but meanwhile have a number of updates to share. I hope to have many more interesting bits of information for the coming issues.

Shay Mandel KR-10 and his family during their travels through India at their new home

Jonathan Chashper KR-HT02 and Tal Sliwowicz KR-10 met during Jonathan’s family summer vacation in Tel-Aviv, Israel, in August.

First, there have been many babies born since we graduated in June 2007. Congratulations to Ofer Dascalu and family on the birth of Hila in September 2007, to David Parnes and his wife Elinor on the birth of Benjamin in December, to Hamutal Livnat Strum and Itai Strum KR-06 on the birth of Yoav in December, to Issa Kassis and family on the birth of Sophie in January, to Liron Edery and his wife Sharon on the birth of Mia in January, to Eyal Henkin and family on the birth of Asaf in February and to Idan Katz and his wife Tal on the birth of Shiri in March.

Congratulations to Noah Rosen who married Anna Halperin in August.

There have been many professional changes as well in our class.

Eyal Henkin was appointed CEO of Shachar Holdin Group.

Noah Rosen became a trader at Old School Partners, a local hedge fund.

Mark Volpert became vice president of business development at RaySat described by some as "satellite TV on wheels."

Nelly Assouline is providing advisory and strategic consultation to Israeli corporate and financial entities focusing on international (and particularly European) solutions.

Some members of our class have transferred internationally.

Adam Ferman and family moved to Redmond, Wash., for Adam's new job as a program manager at Microsoft USA.

David Avital became CEO of a new company and spends his time between Israel and Sofia, Bulgaria.

Tomer Segev and family moved to Shanghai, where he will become president of Camtek China.

Udi Bobrovsky and his family also moved to Guangzho, China, where he hopes to find many exciting opportunities.

Shay Mandel and his family moved to Hyderabad, India, where he is principal program manager in the visual studio team system business at the Microsoft India development center. Shay writes: "India is a fascinating country and we enjoy our time here. We plan to have quite a few trips in the APAC area. I am in touch with Chetan Mahajan EMP-66 whom I met in Chicago and later on in the international week we had in Israel. We were in touch when he visited Israel and now he is in Delhi, so we hope to meet soon."
