EMP-40

During the weekend of Sept. 12-13, EMP-40 celebrated its 10-year Reunion. The weekend was filled with classmates and spouses getting together in Evanston. We played golf on Friday, followed with a kickoff happy hour at Tommy Nevins. On Saturday, we attended Mark Weishaar's tailgate, the Northwestern vs. SIU game and a great wine dinner at Stained Glass. It was one of rainiest weekends ever in Chicago, but despite the rain and a few tough days for some of our classmates due to flooding, the EMP-40ers that were able to attend had a great time. We included some pictures from the weekend's festivities. But unfortunately our group photos from the weekend were not any good, so we'll have to try again soon.

Eric McAllister works for Omniture Inc. as vice president and chief human resources officer. Omniture is a leader in the web analytics and online business optimization industry. This is a very exciting opportunity for Eric and he is looking forward to leading the global HR function for the firm. Omniture is growing rapidly (annual review of $300 million with 1,200 employees in the U.S. and building a presence in multiple countries) and the opportunity to build this company and the human resources function from the ground up is compelling. The personal opportunities associated with the role also are very interesting for Eric — from board work to community work to opportunities in education. Omniture is headquartered in Orem, Utah. Eric and his family are excited to move back to Utah, but said it was very unexpected after living in Tokyo, Chicago, Dallas and Seattle the past 20 years.

Word on the street is that John Rutter is an IBM executive and currently leading IBM's finance and accounting outsourcing business in the Americas. Prior to joining IBM, John spent three years with PwC. John is located in the Houston area. We'd love to hear about how things are going for you, John.

Still missing: Vance Lancaster, Brian McInerney, Dharmendra Sahay, and Rom Nowacki. If any one knows how to get in touch with these folks, please let Dave know.
