Rocelle Bade, Tina Chan, Chinelo Okonkwo and Jennifer Slawson, all ’08, linked up in San Sebastian, Spain for a mini-Kellogg reunion in July.

2008— Full-Time

Attention Class of 2008: If you are interested in learning more about your 1-year Reunion, please contact Dan Granata at 847.467.6384 or d-granata@kellogg.northwestern.edu.

Three months since graduation and everyone seems to be charging forward at full speed. It's hard to believe it was two years ago that we were just finishing up CIM Week and now we are back in the real world.

Please send me your updates regularly. Your classmates want to know what you're up to!

Sarah Kaplan and Dave Moore moved to Chicago in Streeterville after spending seven weeks in seven African countries this summer — South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland and Tanzania. The trip was absolutely amazing; lots of safaris, wine tasting, diving, white water rafting, fishing, beach time and even a harder-than-expected hike up Mount Kilimanjaro. Dave started work at Hines Interests on Sept. 2 and Sarah started at Bain & Co. on Oct. 20.

Fellow Chicagoan Yelena Shklovskaya spent six weeks on a GHI/KelloggCorps trip to South Africa and Mozambique. She lives in Chicago's River North neighborhood and works for Deloitte Consulting.

Since graduation, Todd Cruise moved to Arkansas, bought a house and started a marketing job at Wal-Mart. Todd and his wife Becky welcomed a healthy baby boy and future captain of industry, Jackson Ray Cruise, into the world July 21.

Eric Epstein, Arjun Srinivasan and Ed Mahon wisely spent part of their summer soaking up the sun while they vacationed in the Mediterranean, touring Greece, Turkey, and Egypt. Arjun also apparently took gigantism pills and grew two feet taller while on his vacation.

David Dalpe did some light traveling in the Pacific Northwest this summer, visiting Portland, Seattle and Vancouver. David is working a general management rotation for Thomson Reuters and his first rotation is in finance for one of their businesses in New York. David lives just outside New York City in the Newport neighborhood of Jersey City, N.J., and was married Nov. 1 in Baltimore, M.D.

Alison Lemire spent three weeks traveling in New Zealand with her husband Kevin Lemire. They had a great time hiking, kayaking, and enjoying the fantastic beer and wine! Back in Chicago this summer, they saw lots of Katie Fiamingo and her husband Steve, James Buford and his fiancée Ali Kops, Ben Mathes, Andy Lozier, Brad Martin, Nadine Arotin, Laura Smolen and Chris Moschner. This fall, Alison and Kevin are moving to Boston as she starts selling RAPTIVA for Genentech.

Dong Li and his wife Weilan Wu welcomed their son Boyuan Evan Li on Aug. 13. The little guy weighed eight pounds, eight ounces and measured 21 inches. Both mom and son are doing great.

Difan Liu and Miguel Varas met up in Hong Kong one month after graduation, where they enjoyed plenty of dim sum, including chicken feet!

Saiful Amin married Etaf Khan in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 2. The couple honeymooned in Bali surrounded by beautiful mountains and tea gardens. Saif started his job at FBR Capital Markets as a mergers and acquisitions associate Sept.15.

Shane McBride had the good fortune to complete an around-the-world trip post-Kellogg. He sailed the Mediterranean on an Atlantis cruise, visited One Acre Fund in Kenya and traveled through India, southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. A few highlights: eating pasta in Rome with his KWEST leader Silvia Gussoni '07, an eight-hour matatu ride through Kenyan countryside with Veronica Borgonovi and spending time with Hiral Parekh in three cities on three continents — Rome, Mumbai and San Francisco. Shane has settled in Boston and is working at Diamond Consultants to pay off the trip and his mountain of student loans.

Michael A. Teplitsky has joined Wynnchurch Capital as a senior associate. Wynnchurch is a middle-market private equity investment firm.

Chris Brusznicki and his wife Maureen welcomed their baby girl Evelyn one week after graduation on June 30. The trio is temporarily living in New York City while Chris participates in training for Goldman Sachs. They will be back in Chicago by Thanksgiving.
