Xavier Battle relocated to Oxford, England, in Februrary 2007 as director of product management for molecular imaging in Siemens Healthcare. Happily settling in the U.K., he can now cycle flooded streets and drive on the "other" side.

Emily Brinkmoeller started Overseas Strategies LLC, (overseasstrategies.com) a consulting business dedicated to international business development. She and her partners have developed a concrete model to assist U.S. companies in export development, as well as U.S. market penetration. Emily is enjoying learning the lessons of entrepreneurship and working with many Kellogg alums and professors to grow the business.
Mary Liz (Tully) Lehman married Peter Lehman on Sept. 2, 2006. Several fellow Kellogg alums were attendants in the nuptials, including Matt Yale (the matchmaker), Emily Brinkmoeller and Diana Fagans. The following year, she opened PERCHANCE Boutique, a high-end women's boutique on Southport in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Adorned in a "vintage glam" motif, PERCHANCE Boutique is a boudoir-influenced boutique presenting women's shoes, clothing and accessories as unabashedly feminine as the décor. The Kellogg community has been integral as classmates have been a sounding board and assisted in the opening. Favorite Kellogg professors Lloyd Shefsky and Steve Rogers have been advisers. All Kellogg alum (or wives of alum) will enjoy a 15-percent discount on full-priced items at PERCHANCE. Just mention that you are a Kellogg graduate. The boutique is located at 3512 N. Southport Ave., just south of Addison. The Web site is perchanceboutique.com. Please e-mail Mary Liz to hear about special events: maryliz@perchanceboutique.com.
Following graduation in June 2006, Santiago Morales and his family moved to Houston. Santiago continues to work for BP's exploration and production division and took a new role as a procurement and supply chain manager. As for family life, Santiago's son graduated from high school and started at Texas A&M University this fall, where he also is a proud member of the Corps of Cadets.
Manish Puri took a short-term transfer to India where he is working on a growth strategy plan for a telecom player. He is looking forward to getting back to Chicago in the winter.
Since graduation, Natalie Petrie has been working at Allstate Investments as a senior research analyst in the investment grade corporate group. Outside of work, she spent this summer training for triathlons and completed her first international distance race in August at the Accenture Triathlon. She is looking forward to completing more races in 2009. |
