Guess what? I got a fever. And the only prescription is MORE CLASS NOTES. (funnyhub.com/videos/pages/snl-more-cowbell.html)
Pinch yourselves. You're awake. And with a Kellogg World first, we are excited to deliver our latest Class Notes to you in STREAMING MULTIMEDIA (youtube.com/watch?v=jHjFxJVeCQs).
It'll require a bit of typing (youtube.com/watch?v=00hpL3RgyV4) on your part to fully experience all the sights and sounds, but who ever said reading Class Notes is easy?

Christa and Troy Small kick off our latest baby news, as they welcomed Tyler Dorian Small on Nov. 15, 2007. Congratulations from the Class of 2003 to our favorite Smalls!
The Solows (Stacy Arend and Todd Solow) were thrilled to bring Jake Andrew Solow into the world on Jan. 25. He was nine days late, obviously not wanting to brave the Minnesota winter. When he finally arrived, Jake clocked in at a whopping eight pounds, 12 ounces and continues to grow off the charts! Adding to their great year so far, Todd was recently promoted to partner at his private equity firm Norwest Equity Partners.
Arturo Vera and Denise Lazo welcomed their second daughter June 6. Her name is Francesca Camila Vera and big sister Micaela is getting adjusted to the new person in the family. Disney ears all around!
Rodolfo Novarini is still enjoying the expat life in Melbourne, Australia, with wife Ingrid, daughter Isabella (3) and son Marco, who was born in Australia in June. Everybody is very happy and adapting themselves to the new arrival, which was easy since Marco has been sleeping eight hours straight since he was three weeks old (including at night!). Isabella is learning to switch quite well between the Argentinean-Spanish spoke at home and the Aussie-English she speaks at childcare with her "mates."
The baby tide continues as Rachel and Gregory Obenshain welcomed Jacob Asher on Aug. 4. The three are living in Manhattan where Jacob has been doing laps of Central Park in his stroller preparing for the 2032 Olympics.
More Kellogg dreams came true as Colby Maher and Brady Countryman introduced Edan Rose Countryman, named after Colby's father, grandfather, and grandmother (Ed, Dan and Rose). Baby Spud arrived at 1:03 a.m. Aug. 19 to very proud parents.
Last, but most certainly not least, Michelle and Kyle Peterson thank everyone for the prayers and thoughts for their new twins. When they last wrote, the girls were still in the hospital "feeding and growing." After more than 90 days in the hospital, they are now home! Mom and dad are beyond thrilled to have two happy and healthy babies at home. They report that their little miracles are doing so well, and Michelle is enjoying being at home with them before she heads back to work in November.

In a small ceremony at his sister's place, our beloved Ankur Malik and the beautiful Eugenia recently got married — legally! While they are both kind of overwhelmed with the enormity of this step, they are hoping to recover quickly and to host the traditional ceremonies in India, China and Singapore soon.
And big news from Israel. Several '03s traveled to the wedding of Denise and Tsafi Oranski over the summer. It was reported to be a great reunion of a bunch of our classmates: Miriam Claes, Paul Cheng, Elaine Schulze, Brian Fitzpatrick, Ankur Malik and Tsafi, and a most amazing wedding. Mazel Tov, Tsafi!

Neil Chernoff has moved from Miami for colder climates in Chicago. He accepted a position as director of operations and strategy for AAR Corp. They are a supplier to the airline industry, participating in parts trading, supply chain management, MRO services, aircraft leasing and components for the military. Neil is reporting to the COO and president and he will be working on special strategic projects for the company. Well done, Neil!
Jorge Calderon has transitioned from managing HillView Ventures to running the new Palo Alto, Calif.-office of Launch Capital. He is responsible for all of its investments on the West Coast. The fund concentrates on early stage companies in the technology, energy and consumer product verticals. Generally, they are investing in start-ups that are raising their first round of external funding. HillView Ventures will continue in some capacity, but Jorge will be devoting his full attention to the success of Launch Capital.
Things have changed quite a bit for Paulo Mesnik since graduation. He and Michele '02 had two kids (Max in September 2005 and Alexander in November 2007). Paulo worked at United Airlines for about five years before the family moved back to Brazil to pursue a new opportunity at Azul Linhas Aereas, a start-up airline founded by JetBlue founder David Neeleman. Alex Malfitani, who also was at United, did the same and is working with Paulo as well.
Spencer Phua left Prudential Fixed Income in Newark, N.J., after two years and he has joined ING Investment Management in Atlanta. At ING, Spencer is a senior credit analyst covering banks, finance and brokers.
Leandro DalleMule was promoted to senior manager at Deloitte & Touche in New York. He is spearheading Deloitte's advanced analytics team, while completing yet another master's degree, this time in applied mathematics, from Columbia University. However, despite finals and the "ever-on-the-road" consulting lifestyle, he managed to increase the family with the arrival of Nicholas last year.
And we have lots of breaking news to report from Attila Toth. He is enjoying every minute he can spend with his twin daughters, Izabell and Olivia (1). As for his career, Attila traded the corporate life of a McKinsey consultant for that of a renewable energy entrepreneur this year. He joined SunEdison, an emerging solar energy startup, as vice president of marketing and his major task is to develop the company's next generation service offering. The company is growing fast and is in need of top talent in many areas – if you are interested, e-mail Attila. He, Edit and the girls will be soon living in the D.C. area. Please look them up if you happen to be there!

In advance of his wedding, Brent Reid sponsored the Third Annual Georgia Golf Junket, which also served as his bachelor party. Steak, cigars, free golf and good Kellogg friends…it doesn't get much better than that. Congrats to the Reids!
Edward Sim reports that he spent a week with son Alex and wife Emma in Hawaii. They had a great time snorkeling, kayaking and just relaxing at Waikiki Beach. Of course, they also ate lots of delicious food, which they cannot find at home in Charlotte, N.C.
At long last, Ajay Chawan and his wife Britta Watters were able to take a vacation. They went to their favorite part of the country, San Francisco, and began their holiday by visiting fellow '03er Barry Grant. Barry played tour guide and took Ajay and Britta all over the area, from the Golden Gate to Muir Woods. Ajay and Britta got to share in the wedding day of another Kellogg couple, Frederic Golen and Shirley Aguila, both '06 in Napa Valley. The weather and scenery (reception overlooking a vineyard!) were spectacular. A&B then headed north to Oregon and lounged in the wilderness for a few days. They visited Crater Lake (pictures do NOT do it justice) and went rafting. The well-relaxed couple headed south to Sacramento, Calif., to visit with Chris Tucker and his wife Caroline Godkin where they continued their relaxing with good food, drink and company. A&B wrapped up their holiday travel back in the Bay Area before heading back to Nashville, Tenn. Admittedly, "hooray!" was not the first word they uttered after getting home. On the business front, Ajay is pleased to report his company, Saatwic Foods, is planning to introduce a line of prepared meals that taste good, are easy to prepare and good for you. Sounds too good to be true, we know, but stay tuned!
In late summer, while vacationing in Peru, Jill and Derek Yung ran into Debbie Hartman and her boyfriend Vincent.
Joey Olivier writes that he and his family visited Moscow after a summer mission trip to Ekaterinaburg, Russia. Hope you had a great adventure, Joey!
Marc Redman, his girlfriend Rebecca, Chuck Scholpp and Clinton Kent climbed three "14ers" (mountains that are above 14,000 feet) this summer. Damned Kellogg underachievers.
