Jim Litwin reporting. I have started another new venture with my family. My Life Story Inc., will be tapping into the trillions of photos, slides and documents sitting in shoeboxes and albums. Unlike the many services that require you to mail these items for digitization, My Life Story comes to you with a mobile scanning studio, so these precious items never leave the safety of your home. We also convert all the scanned images into a DVD movie that can play on your TV. Currently we are only in the Chicago area, but hope to expand soon.
Stoddard Crane writes: "After two years of teaching, four years of banking and 28-plus years of corporate strategy and growth work with Fortune 500 companies, I recently formed a one-person advisory, Crane Strategies LLC, focused on assisting moderate-sized enterprises. Leveraging teamwork skills and Professor Gene Lavengood's wonderful frameworks of analysis acquired at Kellogg, I interact as needed with other contractors to cover a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities from new product development to culture building. Examples of engagements have included a large non-profit hospice, a well-known convenience store chain and a major linen and uniform supplier. The diversity of challenges is exciting and the people at these firms have been a joy to work with. Both sons are grown and gone; one works for Target and the other with a cool online pharm-focused market research company in Boston. I still stay in touch with some Section 63 veterans. Life is good. Keep in touch with me via cranestrategies@yahoo.com."
