For the last 14 years, John Levine has been enjoying his third career. The first was in marketing management for leading consumer goods companies. The second was a brief stint in marketing and sales for a startup. After that company folded, he started a consulting business specializing in new product development and brand leveraging. It has been a great run so far (no sign of a fourth career yet). He gets to do the work he loves and stretch his skills across a range of issues and industries. While not for everyone, the independent work has been very satisfying for John. He lives in Northbrook, Ill., with his wife Merril whom he met soon after starting his business.
