In this new role, Ivan covers both the manufacturing and commercial operations of Corning's optical fiber business in the Greater China region.

Kym Fortescue left Standard Chartered Bank and started as senior regulatory counsel, Asia Pacific, for Allianz Global Investors in September 2006. As a result of the new role, she and her family moved back to Hong Kong from Singapore in January 2007.

Fred Hung has left his previous employer ASAT and joined computer graphics GPU (graphics processing units) company NVIDIA as the director of logistics for Asia Pacific in April 2007. Based in Hong Kong, he is in charge of keeping track and supporting all of NVIDIA's material/inventory movements among their suppliers and customers in Asia Pacific. He is also responsible for supporting all shipments to and from NVIDIA's R&D centers in the United States, Taipei, Shenzhen, Shanghai and India.

Bill Janeri moved from Boulder, Colo., to Dubai in April. In his role as general manager of the Middle East division for Global Sources, Bill leads the company's expansion in the region and will oversee the opening of the company's first office in the UAE.

Luca Mignini was promoted in July to vice president and group managing director for Central and South East Europe of SC Johnson. Previously in the same role for just the South East Europe region, Luca now covers all European markets except the U.K., France, Benelux and Iberia from his base in Milan, Italy.

After returning to Hong Kong for almost five years from the United States (and receiving her Kellogg-KHUST degree along the way), Joni Ngai moved to Beijing in October 2006 to join MRM Worldwide, a direct and interactive marketing agency and a member of the McCann Worldgroup, as the director of data analytics and technology. With her new job, she is the pioneer in leading MRM to leverage the power of data, technologies and emerging media to expand the service scope beyond the traditional marketing and communications in China.

Scott Wilson moved from Hong Kong to London in June 2007 with the same employer, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce/CIBC World Markets. While he keeps the same title of head of legal and compliance as when he was in Hong Kong, he also keeps his responsibility in the Asia Pacific region in addition to his coverage of Europe. As a result, he travels back to Asia (and meets his KH friends) frequently.

Arshi Narang is working on a new business venture by the name of Navitas, after he sold the majority of his ownership interests in the earlier business to a U.S. private equity firm in 2006.
