EMP-56

Hello, EMP-56!

The fall is drawing to a near and the summer months have been quite busy for a few of our EMP-56 crowd. The newswires are hot with some very interesting developments for our class:

Juergen Juffa and his lovely wife Kamala Urs are very pleased to be busy with their two daughters, Sumathi (Suma) and Vasumathi (Vasi) who came to join their family on June 12. The girls, adopted from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, are already comfortable with their move to the United States and are enjoying preschool. Congratulations to you all on this wonderful family news!

Anju Ahuja is traveling the world and working hard at her firm, Psyche Manufactory. Established two years ago with two other managing partners, the company invests capital and consulting expertise in media, entertainment and consumer ventures. Focused on ethnocentric, fringe subculture and luxury lifestyle segments, they help clients bring their products and services to market.

Stacey Kacek is back to work after taking some time to travel, cook and enjoy her new husband. Now at SmartSignal corporation as the vice president of product development, she is working to bring predictive analytic tools to market for power generation, refining, oil and gas production, pipeline, and airlines. Stacey's strength in software innovation and market management will be a real asset to this company.

Curtis Smith has been very busy. Most interesting is the arrival of his son Colby, who is now a year old. The family has moved, and although they miss the city, all are now enjoying life in the suburbs. Also working in a new location, Curtis is the director of national sales for Crown Imports and working in the Sidley Austin building in downtown Chicago. Putting our Kellogg education to work, Curtis is focused on expanding their distribution and capturing increasing sales!

So, EMP-56, we are welcoming the fall and I am already looking forward to collecting news for the next edition of Kellogg World. Keep it coming! The holiday season is a great time for photos and gatherings — let's do our best to keep connected.
