  John Tomaszewski '97 and daughter Alexandra Claire
   

John Tomaszewski wanted to share the wonderful news that his daughter, Alexandra Claire, finally arrived. She was born July 18 and weighed 8 pounds and 14 ounces. Mom, dad and baby are all doing well and are having a great time getting to know each other.

Tim Cartwright, president of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum in Naples, Fla., recently spoke at the annual Florida Economic Development Meeting and Conference in Tampa, Fla. This was a joint meeting of all the economic development offices throughout the state, assembling top leadership from economic and workforce development to discuss best practices and national trends and to exchange ideas. Tim participated in a speaking panel, discussing the current "angel investment" environment. He discussed national and regional trends in angel investing and how the Gulf Coast Venture Forum plays a part of the capital raising continuum in Southwest Florida.

Jim Wohlever recently became president and CEO of Young America Corp. in Chanhassen, Minn., west of Minneapolis.

Jay Woffington and his wife, Julie, just had their second child, Brett Raymond, in June. Jay also completed the acquisition of his digital and relationship marketing agency to WPP, the second-largest agency network in the world. Jay continues to manage the business as CEO of Bridge Worldwide in Cincinnati. The agency was selected as one of the Top 25 Best Places to Work in America in the small-business category for the second consecutive year.

My wife, Rebecca '02, and I welcomed a new son, Marcus Aaron Budd, to our family. He was born on Aug. 12 and was smiling within weeks. His big brother Jackie and his foster siblings Caden and Melody cannot get enough of him.
