1995 — Part-Time

After 21 years with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), John Merkin was named senior vice president, brand management, Holiday Inn Brands. He most recently served as vice president, franchise operations, North America, IHG, where he was responsible for leading the quality, standards and franchise administration departments.

Adrienne Kardon Crowther is living in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, John (whom she met at Booz Allen Hamilton), and her twin daughters, Paige and Samantha (1). Adrienne reports she still works for Booz Allen after leaving for five years to join the infamous dot-com bust, but consulting on the road is a thing of the past for her and she now has a cush internal role!

Brian K. Langenberg reports the family is doing fine, but son (7) and daughter (5) both think they are teenagers. On the career front, he has left Wall Street to start his own investment management firm, targeting pensions, corporate executives and high-net-worth individuals. His firm will be active in New York and Chicago, and he shares it is an exciting time at the right point in his career. He is involved with Kellogg's alumni outreach, interviewing prospective students and re-connecting with former classmates.

Rick Wolk was in Leeds, U.K., this summer presenting research at the First World Symposium on Sustainability Entrepreneurship that looks at eco-entrepreneurs in Alaska. The conference was conveniently scheduled between two kayak trips that he took in southeast Alaska. Upon returning to Juneau, he learned he was appointed to the city of Juneau's new sustainability commission.
