1940s

Arnold Karlinski '48 of Northbrook, Ill., retired several years ago as a broker at Dean Witter Reynolds. He and his wife, Vivian, have three children and eight grandchildren. One son is ABC correspondent Neil Karlinsky. Arnold served with the Air Transport Command in Northern Africa in World War II. He and his wife have enjoyed traveling in Michigan.

Erwin Kohn '48 of Highland Park, Ill., was a partner at Grant Thornton in Chicago. He and his wife, Paula, have two children and four grandchildren. During World War II, he served in the South Pacific. He and his wife have enjoyed their travels to Hawaii.

Edwin Musil '48 of Hinsdale, Ill., was a self-employed investigator and consultant. He and his wife, Grace, have two children and three grandchildren. He and his wife have spent their summers near Minocqua in far northern Wisconsin.

Thomas Naumann '48 of Deerfield, Ill., worked as a Realtor in Chicago, lastly running his own firm, Illinois Realty and Management. He and his wife, Katherine, have two children and have enjoyed being in Spain and Portugal.

James H. Wolter '48 of Northbrook, Ill., passed away at his Florida home on Feb. 15, having spent 40 years as a financial adviser. A memorial service was held in Northbrook in April, attended by his wife Helen, his son and daughter, three grandchildren and many friends.
