TMP 2001

Sean Lofgren is living in Carrollton, Texas — near Dallas — and is a sales manager for Temple Inland, covering Dallas and Louisiana. He and his family are active with the Dallas-Fort Worth Kellogg Club and often see fellow TMPers John '97 and Rebecca '02 Budd at events.

Brett Hamilton and wife Laura relocated to the Bay Area for Brett to take a product management role with Cisco Systems. They welcomed their first daughter, Linden Jane Hamilton, to the world on Aug. 26. After so much change, Brett and Laura are finally getting settled in and enjoying their new family. They miss Chicago, but not that much — the California weather is too good!

Bob Bates and wife Julie welcomed their new son, Marshall Robert, into the world on Aug. 23. He weighed in at 8 lbs., 10 oz., and was 21 inches long. Everyone is doing well.

Daniel Hayden is beginning his second year back in the United States and is working for MarketBridge, a sales and marketing firm in Washington, D.C. He reports: "The whole family has quickly adjusted to life in the United States and the kids are doing well at a bilingual school so they can keep up their Spanish. I had a good time at the fifth reunion and got some time to catch up with Sarwar Islam, who is still at BCG and jetting around the world, and Sean Lofgren, who is enjoying fatherhood and life in Texas.

Joe DeCamp writes, "I'm spending much of my free time chasing my toddler son Nate around. Jen and I are enjoying our new environs out in Carlsbad, Calif. I'm working at Qualcomm as a senior marketing manager in the chipset division (think cell-phone brains). I'm also trying to adjust to life as a Padres fan. Petco is not quite Wrigley Field."

After a one-year stint with McKinsey in Shanghai, Allen Xu realized he was more of a roll-up-the-sleeves kind of guy and ran his own software company for four years. He sold it to local investors recently but stayed in the software business, joining Active Reasoning as vice president and general manager of its Shanghai R&D Center. Drop him a line if you visit Shanghai.

Joshua Wells and Kristin Moe had their second child, Liam, on July 22. Older sister Abby had her second birthday on Aug. 8 and started nursery school in the fall. Kristi left an advertising position at Avenue A/Razorfish when Abby was born in 2004. She misses her career but will probably wait until Liam starts school before going back. Joshua has been in investment banking (leveraged finance) at Deutsche Bank since graduation. After spending four years in New York, they relocated to London at the beginning of 2005. They like London very much and plan to stay for a while.

Traci Gearty Breen is controller at a Chicago-area private equity firm. She and her husband Nathan have a daughter, Nora (1).
