Mark Jenkins was awarded a bronze star on July 15 for his work as deputy district engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from July 11, 2005, to Feb. 11 in support of "Operation Iraqi Freedom." Mark, an engineer with the Illinois Department of Transportation in his civilian capacity, was the first Navy CEC officer to serve in this role during protracted combat operations. He has been selected for promotion to captain in the USACE.

Robyn Ross sends this career update: She was promoted in June to vice president senior trust administrator at Harris Private Bank after seven years as client adviser in wealth management services. In May, she received the Chicago Bar Association's David C. Hilliard Award for Outstanding Service and continues as chair of association's estate planning committee. She also serves on the board of directors of the Chicago Legal Clinic.

Robyn received her juris doctor from the evening division of DePaul University's College of Law in December.
