EMP-61

Hello, EMP-61ers.

The heart-warming news of two new additions to the EMP-61 family starts my update. Lynda Clappier announced that the newest member of her family, John Logan Clappier, was born July 18. She says Logan is an incredibly sweet baby. I know she sent everyone pictures. Let me know if you didn't get them and I'll be glad to forward them to you.

Miracles continue to happen (in more ways than one) as Reza Ghorieshi can now be called a dad! His baby boy Saasaan arrived Aug. 19 at 8 lbs. even and 21 inches long. I hope he got his dad's great smile.

Todd Reding has once again talked himself into success. He was appointed general manager of the Colorado/Wyoming business in July, but is still retaining his responsibilities as sales and operations manager for Iowa and Nebraska. He commutes to Denver weekly from Grinnell. Do they have airports in Iowa?

Amit Puri has started a new job with GE (more specifically Genpact, GE's subsidiary focused on business process outsourcing and technology services). He has joined as vice president for business development and associated delivery functions. He is still based in the Bay Area.

This is the last article of the year, but I hear about EMP-61ers getting together all the time. Please send pictures (hopefully embarrassing) of these special occasions.

I send my best to all of you and your families. Keep your brains working!
