EMP-55

Leah Campen Klepitsch and her husband Frank hosted some Kellogg friends for dinner at their newly renovated home. In attendance were Tim Makris, Amy Kovalan, Tracey Quinn, Lynn Bromstedt, Cristina Gomez and Sharon Folliard. We had a perfect summer evening. Thanks to our hosts, Leah and Frank!

Eleanor Chou reports frequent travel for business. In July, she went to China for the third time this year. She says that if any of us travel to China, we should let her know. She's a good tour guide!

Chander Chawla selected an Indian restaurant for an EMP-55 dinner in July. In attendance were Sharon Folliard, Manuel Laborde and his wife Maria, Wayne Sottile, Michael Spencer and his wife Lindsey, Mark Straszynski and his wife Robin Haldeman, and Melissa Macek, our friend from EMP-53. After the hot Indian food, we headed over to the Pop's for Champagne festival outdoors. Lynn Bromstedt, Steve Kruchko and his wife Dara joined us for cocktails and dancing. It was a fun evening!

Susan Forsell was promoted to officer at McDonald's Corp. Way to go Susan! Susan also arranged a "Dinner by Design" event for the women of EMP-55 including Lynn Bromstedt, Kathleen Burandt, Leah Campen-Klepitsch, Sharon Folliard and Cristina Gomez. We were joined by our friends from EMP-53 (Maureen Girard, Melissa Macek and Kimberly Meyer) and our friend from EMP-59 (Heidi Voorhees). We all prepared delicious meals and had a fun evening together! Thanks to Susan for organizing our event.

Dean Hart reports having a great time working with Frank Muscarello and Tim Koers at Vision Point of Sale. The business is growing and they are having fun working together to make it happen. He also reports that he's been busy with his daughter's marriage and getting two of his kids ready for college. His youngest has made the last cut for Janet Jackson's new group of hip-hop dancers and is heading to California to dance. Dean says she must take after him. Ha!

Roy Hillier is no longer working for Vision Point of Sale. He is evaluating a number of opportunities and will forward his new contact information as it's available.

Manuel Laborde and his wife Maria recently moved their family. They're still in Lake Forest and moved into the house next door. Manuel was promoted at Loders Croklaan. He is now is vice president for North America and general manager of a division. He's involved in mergers and acquisitions and says he's having fun.

Wayne Sottile recently moved to Palatine, and will have more to report next issue.

Raymond Ye reports that all is well in Shanghai. He is still working at S.C. Johnson as marketing director for China. He has traveled quite a lot throughout China, and took some international trips last year (Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and a very short trip to U.S.) He says hello to all of his classmates!
