EMP-43
Tim
O'Connor
says "Hi, y'all" from Atlanta, where he and his
family moved in 2001. Since graduating, he spent a few years
with Siemens global IT Business as vice president of global
marketing and working in Munich for about a year and a half.
Two years ago, he left Siemens to join Unisource Worldwide,
one of Bain Capital's largest investments, as part of the
management team to prepare Unisource for a public offering
or strategic sell. Tim is the vice president of marketing
and global sourcing for Unisource, a $6-billion distributor
of paper and industrial supplies.
Tim
and his wife Theresa celebrated 20 years of marriage last
year. This year, their oldest son begins college and their
youngest turns 16. Tim feels blessed and welcomes any EMP-43
colleagues to say hi if they are in Atlanta.
Boris
Oglesby is really, really busy now as vice president of
marketing (North America) at JohnsonDiversey, a $3-billion
company with more than 14,000 employees worldwide. The company
is the world's leading manufacturer in the industrial and
institutional cleaning products sector. This is an exciting
opportunity for Boris and he officially started on April 24.
While he works in Sturtevent, Wis., he still lives in Mundelein,
Ill. Well, I guess it is truly goodnight to those nightcaps
at Jim Beam!
Pete
Brehm writes: "I am at Avnet, IBM's largest distributor
of IBM equipment to the reseller community. I am their leasing
sales rep for the west region, working with IBM Business Partners
to provide financial solutions for end users.
"Life
is good (or at least better than the alternative). My son
is a freshman at Stevenson High School. Once I finished at
Kellogg, my wife went back to school to earn her teaching
certificate and is in her third year of teaching 4th grade
at Holy Cross School in Deerfield and completing her master's
in education. I am looking forward to her graduation as much
as I did my own from Kellogg."
Scott
Wilson has been missing in action since graduation, so
here is a brief update: Scott and his family relocated to
the north San Diego County area in 1999 just before graduating
from Kellogg. He is now president and CEO of REGENESIS in
San Clemente, Calif. REGENESIS develops advanced chemical
and biological technologies used to restore polluted water
and soil. The company markets and sells the products direct
to engineering firms throughout the United States and around
the world. His recent emphasis has been on market penetration
in Asia and Europe. Scott and family return to Chicago regularly
for therapeutic doses of season changes and blues.
Kevin
Consey continues to do his bit for the artistic community
at the Berkely Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive. He has been
traveling a lot of late. His wife Susan is fine and, as Kevin
puts it, "keeps the world safe for capitalism" at
Morgan Stanley.
Suresh
Dixit writes, "I think everyone has my news except
for this little tidbit: I bought a small sailboat a couple
of months back. I am trying to cram as much sailing as I can
during these dying days of summer. When you guys visit New
York City, we can go for a sail. Unfortunately, I am afraid
of drowning and just watched "The Perfect Storm"
again. Talk about masochism! Other than Kevin Consey and Colleen
Mather, I haven't seen a huge expression of interest in
having a reunion.
