EMP-29
It
came as no surprise that no one has been pounding at my door
offering to take on the task of coordinating a mini-reunion
for our class. What a bunch of deadbeats we are. I haven't
given up on the idea entirely, nor have I made any progress
in organizing the event. I'm hoping that upon reading this
one of you high-achievers will decide that pulling such an
event together isn't such a big deal and that I get an invitation
to it in the mail soon.
Until
you receive your invitation, here's a bit of new from our
class.
Chuck
Weinles contacted me with this news: "I am pleased
to announce I have taken a new position as the general manager
for Gevity, a publicly traded human resources outsourcing
firm in Chicago. Gevity helps small and midsize firms attract,
retain and motivate employees by acting as their human resource
department and providing a bundle of 26 service offerings
comparable to Fortune 1000 firms. These include business protection
insurance, administrative relief and workforce alignment.
I will be opening three offices in the Chicago area in the
next 18 months and look forward to this wonderful challenge."
Best
of luck to you, Chuck!
Brenda
Seliga writes that she is "still at SunTrust overseeing
their institutional Retirement Services line of business and
still based in Atlanta." Brenda was on the road a great
deal this fall and wasn't able to make it to Chicago for the
Kellogg meetings.
Brenda,
I hope you can come "home" to Chicago soon. Dave
and I miss meeting you and Cliff for dinner!
Martha
Davis has been busy traveling to Greece and writing her
"elected officials."
Ah,
Martha, isn't retirement wonderful?
Martha
and I attended Professor Leigh Thompson's Emotional Intelligence
and Happiness presentation on Sept. 27. Unbeknownst to Martha,
I had a camera with me and hope to have pictures for the spring
issue of Kellogg World.
All
the best to each of you.
