Dan
Riis
is now director of client development for Adams Harris, a
new professional services firm focused on solving business
issues in accounting and finance, internal audit, technology,
risk management and corporate tax. The company is led by the
original founder of Jefferson Wells and financed by Adams
Street Partners. Dan will be responsible for uncovering client
needs and developing relationships with Chicago-based companies

Jack
Kraprayoon, general manager of True Internet Data Center,
would like to invite all Kellogg alumni working with Internet,
telecom and/or IT companies who are looking to co-locate their
servers in Asia to check out his company's new 50,000 square-foot
facility in Bangkok. The most direct access to True Group's
10 million Internet, telephone, online games, cable TV and
corporate data customers is guaranteed. Moreover, with the
newly acquired international Internet gateway license, international

Kevin
Hoffman and Beth (Weber) Hoffman welcomed their
second child, Ryan Andrew, on Sept. 6. Mom, Dad, big sister
(Meghan) and baby are all doing great!
Steve
Carlson and Ifen (Sung) Carlson
quickly sold their house in Monterey and moved back
up to San Francisco when their son Luke (4) was accepted into
a Mandarin immersion program in April. They are hoping that
their daughter Devon (2) will join him next fall. While many
folks have called them a bit crazy, this was just the catalyst
to get them back to some of their Kellogg friends. Steve says,
"It has been nice catching up with the group and, in
some cases, meeting their kids for the first time." Steve
continues to work for HSBC, heading up a marketing group for
their U.S. credit card division. He has been able to do some
global travel, most recently spending time in London where
he met up with Darren Louis '97. Darren also joined Steve
for a trip to Athens a while back. Ifen is consulting part-time,
while she pursues her entrepreneurial interests. Outside of
these endeavors, time is pretty much focused on enjoying their
kids.
Jim
Clark gives mad props to Paul Fichter
for his financial contributions and sends greetings
to the rest of the class.
Alessandro
Duina (Lalo) still lives happily in Shanghai (China) where
more than three years ago he founded, together with Chinese
partners, The JLJ Group. JLJ is a consulting/service company
that helps foreign companies entering and growing in the attractive,
but challenging China market. He reports that for almost a
year he has had a new girlfriend, Michelle. Please find him
in the Kellogg database if you are in his part of the world.
