John W. Bluford was recently honored with the HarmonyNCCJ 2006 Distinguished Citizen Award. HarmonyNCCJ is a Kansas City-based nonprofit that works to improve race relations and celebrates cultural diversity in the city's metropolitan area. John, who is president and CEO of Truman Medical Centers, was recognized for addressing ethnic and racial disparities in healthcare and his work in underserved communities.
