Charles
Galvin
'41 and Peggy Galvin celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
on June 29. Charles is a distinguished professor of law emeritus
of and centennial professor of law emeritus of Vanderbilt
University. He is of counsel to Haynes and Boone in Dallas.
George
Spangler '47 writes, "Still here on the lake in beautiful
Carolina Place. Good golf, good fishing, two sons, five grandsons,
two great-grandchildren — one boy and finally a girl.
I am an early marketing major and extremely proud of Northwestern
and Kellogg. I think of NU every time I tee off."
Kenneth
Benjamin of Lake Bluff, Ill., has turned his publishing
business for the floral and nursery industries — called
Cenflo Inc. — over to a son who has moved it west. He
has three sons in all, plus five grandchildren, and now enjoys
painting pictures of the monoprinting industry.
Eldon
Baker writes from Greenville, S.C. He is retired from
CNA Insurance in Chicago and spends most of his time reading
and doing some committee work. He and his wife Anne have a
family of three children, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
They also still enjoy their travels throughout the United
States.
Paul
Bendix writes from Twin Lakes, Wis., with greetings to
his former classmates. He is retired from CPS Industries of
Chicago and says that he and his wife Joan are in good health
and have a family of four children and eights grandchildren.
He participates in tennis, golf and swimming, and both he
and Joan enjoy Florida.
Richard
Brandt of Park Ridge, Ill., has a son who now runs his
real estate appraisal business, and he also has a daughter
and four grandchildren. He conducts computer classes at senior
centers in Niles and Park Ridge, Ill. He also plays tennis
and likes to tour Europe and South America.
Jerome
Berlin of Skokie, Ill., and his wife Rudi have continued
some of their work. He is a semi-retired CPA. They have two
children and four grandchildren and like to travel the United
States.
Donald
Buik of Oak Brook, Ill., has retired from the Roscoe Co.
of Chicago. A son has run the business since 2000. Don and
his wife Betty enjoy their family of four children and eight
grandchildren.
Donald
Busch of Salt Lake City now lives at 1160 East 2700 South
— Unit Q135, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106-2630.
