The Kellogg HKUST Executive MBA program recently held its fifth anniversary celebration after a postponement this spring due to the SARS outbreak. More than half of the program’s alumni and current students (150 out of 269) gathered with faculty members, board members and past distinguished speakers in Hong Kong. Representing the Kellogg School were Dean Dipak C. Jain and Associate Dean for Executive Education Stephen Burnett.

The Kellogg-HKUST program is based on strong connections: Dean Yuk Shee spends time as a faculty member at the Kellogg School; Steve DeKrey, program director, served as assistant dean and admissions director at the Kellogg School in the 1980s; and HKUST founding president Chia Wei Woo was a faculty member and chairman of the physics department at Northwestern University.
