EMP-28

John Palizza reports that he is working on becoming a Texan — a Houstonian to be exact. John now heads up Sysco’s investor relations, media relations and compensation programs.

Our own Bobby G. (Robert Galka) is now teaching a marketing course to MBA students as an executive in-residence at DePaul University. Bob also is putting the finishing touches on a business plan for a new marketing consulting business.

I thought I had lost Shiro, but no. Shiro Okazaki was promoted to chief executive of Nijio Co. Ltd., a joint venture business involving Shell Gas B.V. and Tokyo Gas Co. that markets natural gas to independent power producers. Shiro’s family is doing well; Momoko turned 17, Ai, 12, and Kento, 6.

Just to prove that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, George Kidd’s son, Lee, entered the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern last fall and both father and son lived to tell about it. I’d love to hear from y’all in EMP-28.
